Dr. Janell Peterson:

Dr. Peterson has been living in the Knoxville area since starting her undergraduate education at the University of Tennessee in 1995. Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Peterson fulfilled her goal of becoming a veterinarian when she graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Following graduation, she continued her training by completing a year-long internship at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in West Lafayette, Indiana. She moved back to Tennessee in the summer of 2004 and started her job at Powell Animal Hospital, where she has been ever since.  She lives in Powell with her husband and twin boys (born in March 2008), where they enjoy being part of a small community.

Dr. Catherine L. Carr: Dr. Carr grew up in Connecticut and attended undergraduate school at Bucknell University in central Pennsylvania. She received a BS in electrical engineering and had the opportunity to study biomedical systems. After working for several years in Pennsylvania, she decided to attend veterinary school, pursuing her love of medicine and animals. Dr. Carr graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and has been practicing in Knoxville since graduation. She lives in Fountain City with her husband, Eric, and their two young daughters. Maisy, a standard poodle, and Ty, a rescued cat, add to the liveliness of their home. Dr. Carr enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, and cooking.
